The power adapter for my audioengine a2 recently stopped working, the light in the adapter is not even lighting up. Anybody know any good place to get this fixed in hyderabad all the places i knew i tried none could repair it?

I found one shop which can give me an adapter with the same pin but with a voltage of 18v whereas the original adapter was 17.5v ..... can i use a 18v adapter, would that 0.5 volt increase damage anything ?

need answer fast need to buy the adapter ... thanks as always

I tried the new adapter even that is not working. The original adapter was 17.5v 1.8A whereas the one i bought is 18v 2A.

I have already contacted aps company but their service is very slow.

The adapter of my A2s went south yesterday :( Same issue -- indicator does not light-up, does not deliver power to the speakers.

Will need to raise an RMA with Bajaao.com today. Luckily the speakers are still within warranty.

they've always had QC issues. i was lucky enough to get a good piece, but complaints have abounded, which is sad considering it's a superb product.

Ya i got the new adapter from the dealer, free it was in warranty. Its working now.

@audiodelic, could you tell whether you had bought your A2s from Bajaao.com? And was the replacement received from Bajaao.com? How long did it take for you to get the replacement?

The reason I'm asking is that I'd sent the (faulty) adapter of my 2-month old A2s to Bajaao.com more than a month back (for replacement under warranty) and they have not responded yet. I've been trying to get in touch with them by email (3 emails so far) but they aren't giving me a reply. One of their support phones is out of order and the other one is never picked up. Though the purchase experience with them was very smooth, I'm beginning to think their post-purchase support is the pits.

I got the replacement adapter for the A2s from Bajaao.com today. Hooked it up to the speakers and they are playing fine. It feels good to listen to them after a long time :)

Just yesterday my A2 power supply went dead, after almost 3 years. Have raised an online query with Bajaao. Waiting for them to respond. Fingers crossed.

Yes 18 vs. 17.5 is passable and you shouldn't have no problems in using it. Also your thread title is misleading since the issue is local to the adapter.

The lining on my A2 woofers seems to have torn, is there any chance of getting them repaired ?

Same thing happened to mine, this model seems to be plagued with issues.

Im hoping bajaao will replace mine as they have an agreement with audioengine where they are replacing all defective sets. Try contacting bajaao and also update here with their reply.

Well I purchased mine in 2008 so I guess they would chase me away if I asked for a replacement  will check with them if they can repair it though

They should repair it if they say no shoot a mail to audio engine USA, being their sales and service in India they should support all audio engine issues in India.
