AVR under 35k - Please reply

Hi Friends,

Can you please suggest the best avr under 35k in INDIA? I tried the abroad option but due to warrranty issue - doesnt look convincing.

I am looking for my home theatre - 7.1 should be the best fit else can look at 5.1 also.

Should have all the latest stuff if possible ..

Speakers I havent purchased yet. But you can recommend ..can spend around 40k for speakers

Let me know if you need any more info.

You can go for Denon X1000 or Yamaha RX-V475.Both are good.

You can go for Yamaha RX-V375, don't know exact price but you will get it under 30K.

No.Price after discount will be 35K or less of Denon.

If you are open to used:

For example there is a Marantz 5002 + Pioneer DVD 610 for about Rs 23,500.

I checked the unit online, seems decent.

Have a look and take a call.

Looking for wirless, ethernet, pc input and almost all latest features

I know am asking alot in this price...but checking my luck if it suits my budget.

Also, dont mind spending few more if all this is available

^ most midrange avr in the 50,000 range wont have wireless built in!

Why is wireless so important if on a budget? You can get a wireless bridge for 1000bux and connect ur avr to it via ethernet!

And what do you mean by pc input?

I was checking the specs for MARANTZ NR 1504

Here they mention

" PC Input --- Can a computer be plugged in? NO "

Dear,

whatever receiver you choose....choose Subwoofer & center speaker carefully.rest of the speaker you wont find any difference in same price range..
the difference you could identify(in hearing) in expensive HTs and cheap Hts in Subwoofer and center speaker..so do mix and match for sub and center..and AVR doesn't matter..No one could Identify the difference id same speakers are used for the different AVrs in same price range..
For music you need 2 channel that means two front speakers should be good..you can go for book shelf..since you already has subewoofer you dont need floorstanders..

Hello Amar,

I do not think you would need a wireless or a PC input on an AVR. NOT IMPORTANT.

What you should be looking for is sound quality, period.

Trust me, most of the times you can live without "wireless" or "PC input" or whatever useless extras you are looking at.

I have posted many a time on many threads, it is always SOUND QUALITY and BUILD QUALITY which take precedence over everything else.

Many a time, a separate media player/other stand alone units do these jobs and you can concentrate on getting the best sound for your budget.

Read many threads on this forum, they are quite enlightening.

yamaha vsx 575 has 5.2 2 sub pre out. however only 475 and 675 are for sale in india. mine coming through japan in sometime. see if you can import. cost roughly 30k from there.
