Imp things when you buy anything from japan -
Japan Radio (The FM band in Japan is 7690 MHz), one can not use indian FM channel.
you can try with FM antenna sold by yamaha in india. But it may not work (firmware limitation)
Power supply (Japan 100V)
can be solved by transformer - easily done in india
Language support
Yamaha supports ENGLISH so no worries
usually products supporting eng language are costly in Japan (not a case with Yamaha AVR)

i had similar queries and as for reply
made in japan : yes.
FM : i wont be using.
language : yes english.
more expensive : no same price.
100v : step down is 2k. can manage.
few 575 models i have even seen with a switch at rear : 100-110 / 220-240 ( not sure though )
its available at 34.2k..on ebay after considering the max discount of 2.5k ending on 31st jan'14..plus one can buy on emi...:licklips:

@sam9s .. it does not have 2 sub pre-out however the deal is very good.
go ahead if this solves your purpose. only reason going for 575 was sub pre out and few other gadgetry. price is very good and try to get some Ebay discount coupon and make it a deal.

I use Boston Acoustics Soundware XS 5.1 and Marantz NR1402 which works well....been a year now....the best receiver when it comes to looks performance for movies, music and concerts..
HifiMart has the 1504 + Boston speakers available for 50k odd Both as a combo deal. My advise...go for it... besides Audyssey setup, HDMIs etc, there is ample features on this receiver which makes it stand apart...true value for money. You can use floor standing speakers on this receiver without any hassle.
This receiver boasts of Bass Treble control, 9 Band adjustable Equaliser for each channel and M DAX feature to clean up the MP3 music you play to sound so clear warm and rich. Movies are excellent...neighbours keep envying and ofcourse spiteful. My 4 friends have seen and heard my setup and have the same at their houses. The receiver is only 50w X 5 at 8 ohms but performs better than a Yamaha or Onkyo who claim 100/120w X 5 at 6 ohms.
Before you purchase, you can visit the online reviews for the receiver and speakers to.....definitely you will not regret it. All the best
