AVRs for movies?

Hi..I'm setting up a HT and will be using it to primarily watch movies and only a little bit of music. I wanted to check if there are specific brands that are specially known to render a greater movie performance than others. Thanks.

ANd if you have a lower budget go for Onkyo AVR s .. They are MEANT to giv u that punch and are great for movies... Suggested model Onkyo 717 or 617
