BA Soundware XS vs S for 5.1 Home Theatre?

Hi,

I was going for a home theatre option with a budget of around 35-40 and HiFi gave me an option of :

1. BA Soundware XS5.1 + Pioneer VSX 323 for about 40k
2. BA Soundware XS5.1 + Marantz NR 1504 fo about 51k
and
3. BA Soundware S 5.1 + Marantz NR 1504 for about 60k

Which one do you think is worth the money ? Specially the Soundware S package . .is it worth the additional 10k for the speakers ?

One ofour fm(wonder) bought xs 5.1 he is very much happy wth d product bw xs & s diff is size of drivers
If u r spendng 60k lot other options r available

Interested in going for the 3rd Combo of Soundware S 5.1 and Marantz. .since I wont be upgrading again and again. .so might as well get it with an additional investement. .

ANything better available at similar or lower price points that i can explore ?

You should specify the size of your room, I was in a similar dilemma, auditioned the both sets of speakers, decided to go with the XS 5.1, to me there wasnt much of a difference between the 2. Again, if you have a much larger room, maybe the S would make sense.

Well its an L shaped seating area with Living + Dining combined.

12 Ft x 12 Ft x 9 Ft is the main seating area with the TV, attaching a image schematic

Hi, Maybe you can try the sonodyne genie 1 as front & surrounds & the genie 2C centre , either in one go or build gradually.This is because the centre channel is very important in HT & this dedicated centre will be quite superior to the boston satellites for the centre channel application. Also the cabinet of genie1 sats are made from aluminium. As for the sub, that can be purchased from any good brands like polk, velodyne, sonoyne for around 20k. That is purely my opinion. You must take a Demo & decide.

Praful, for that size the XS will suffice, but please take a demo if possible.
