BDT-220 intercepting TV remote commands

I am trying to change the video settings for my Sony HX850 TV when I have my Panasonic DMP-BDT220 BDP on but whenever I use the Options button on the TV remote the BDT220 responds rather than the TV.

Anyone run into this and how did you get the TV to respond to the remote rather than the BDP responding? There's got to be some setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it.

Turing off Viera link may help.

For reference, Viera Link has to be turned off on the DMP-BDT220 via System Settings, Display Settings, Viera Link
