Best 40" or 42" LCD for around 60k

Guys,

I'm planning to buy a new LCD TV during the Diwali season. I already own a 37" Sony LCD and am looking to upgrade to a slightly larger set. Here are my requirements:

*SD content (Airtel DTH) must look good
*Will be connected to my PS3 so should be great at displaying HD content
*Won't be connected to a home theater. Need decent sound quality. Not expecting thumping bass but the voice clarity etc should be good.

So, what would you guys suggest i buy? I've currently read a few good reviews about the Sony EX400. Any other models available at this price? I can maybe stretch my budget by around 5k but that's it. How is the Sony NX500? Any good models at this price from Panasonic or Samsung?

don't buy 42" if you want to upgrade ! at least 50 " or 60 " or you wouldn't find any difference

Samsunc C530/C550 in showroom or the Sony EX400 for 45k or the EX500 for 55k or less in grey market.

Going to 40/42 from 37 is not much of an upgrade. I'd suggest 46 or 50 screen size.

LG 50PK550 - Full HD Plasma for 62K or less seems to be good fit.
Panasonic 46X20 for about for about 53K is also ok, but not full-HD though.

If you go full-HD, then SD content appears blotchy. Again this differs from model to model and some can handle SD better than others. IMO, panasonic plasmas seem to render SD content quite nicely.

Samsung 40C550 seems to be the best LCD you can have at around Rs 49,000. In an advt., I saw their new model of C series C590 with 800 W of sound, but after inquiring I found that it is still not available with the dealers. Look out for this one and do update me on this. The reason i'm upgrading is not due to the size but due to the fact that my previous set was not Full HD...I know it doesn't matter much for most of my usage, but i'm starting my collection of Blu ray discs, so....

Vicks - Can you tell from where have the quote of 49 K for 40C550, I have the best quote at 52.5K at Samsung Plaza in Gurgaon....planning to buy in another 2-3 days.....?

HD or FULLHD 37 to 40 is not a big ugprade .... Please look for a 50inch plasma or 46 LCD that fits in your budget........ Wait for few more days to see some Diwali offers.
