Best 5.1 speakers for 35,000 - 40,000

Dear Members,


Kindly suggest me a good 5.1 setup (only speakers and sub) within 35,000 - 40,000 which I can purchase within 1 month. My location is Pune and I am planning on pairing it with a Yamaha 377 amp.

Audition as many speakers as possible to decide which ones are the right ones...everyone has a different taste in depth or warmth of music ...more bass or less bass.....clear or noisy...soft or loud and punchy....

For these auditions, carry your kind of music to decide if they work for you...any speaker which can play almost all frequencies between 20 hz - 20 kHz is good provided it has enough output and matches with the 377 in terms of watts and impedance....Jamos / Bostons / Pioneer AJs / Wharfedale would blend well with a Yamaha....all the best..

I talked to the guy from AV Excellence, he's suggesting Energy Take 5.1 system. Not sure how much they cost till now. Planning for a demo soon.

Btw, where did you buy the AVR (Yamaha 377) and how much did it cost?
I see it on HiFiMart only as a package with Wharfedale 100 HCP, for 28.5 Wharfedale Moviestar MS-100 HCP 5.1 Home Theatre Cinema Package ). But I can't find it seperately in the AVR lists on the site.

I too had a demo of the Energy at AV and they are really nice speakers but are for around 43,000 . I have not bought the amp yet, but the price indicated on sites and at dealers is approximately between 29,000 - 32,000

Had a demo of Energy RC Micro 5.1 today. Really good sound. But a bit over the budget with cost of 48k.

In comparison to Wharfedale MS-100, I was also suggested to consider that it is single driver against 2 way driver for the Energy setup. Confused whether the 2 way setup is really required for movie watching, and if it is, is it really worth the extra ~14k.
