Move on or fix: Sony 5.1

Hi,

I have a Sony bdv n7200 and the main unit has some fault due to which it is always hung up on hdmi1 screen.

I want advice on
1) how can I best use the 5.1 speakers if I buy a different amp/unit (what to get)
2) Does it make sense to get it repaired(co will just replace the motherboard which I don't want to pay for)

Note: I'm budget conscious and not an audiophile. Just want to get the system working again...

Hey, not worth repairing. Better to buy an amplifier. If you are budget-conscious, you can buy a sounding 2500 amplifier, which is awesome for your needs and can power the speakers well. It comes with USB, FM and Bluetooth.
