Hello

I am setting up a new home entertainment system with a Samsung TV and a Samsung Q990C Soundbar that both support Dolby Atmos.

I am using a Jio STB for my TV service, which I have heard doesn't support Dolby Atmos.

I want to know would connecting my Jio STB directly to the TV affect the audio quality? Checked https://www.hifivision.com/forums/digital-cable-and-splunkdth.62/ but still need help .

Is there a way to still enjoy Dolby Atmos when using the Jio STB, perhaps through alternative setups or devices?

Looking forward to your suggestions!

Thank you :)

if the jio stb doesn't support atmos, then it is highly unlikely you will get it. But, if your tv supports Atmos, you can connect your tv to the soundbar for an atmos effect with OTT like netflix.

Are there TV channels that output in Atmos?
If you're looking to watch OTT content outputting Atmos you can install their apps natively in Samsung TV which I believe is powered by Tizen OS. You'd get atmos output given you've connected the soundbar via hdmi 2.1 e ARC
