Best Panasonic Smart TV for Amazon Prime, NetFlix, Skype calls, Web Browser

Hello guys,

Wish you all a very happy Dusshera.

Back on this forum after 10 years. Purchased my first LCD TV (Panasonic 32LE8 based on recommendations here) and its still working absolutely fine.

Now I want to go for a new smart TV. I want to use it watch regular SD content as well as Internet content such as Amazon Prime, NetFlix, Skype calls, Web Browser and other internet stuff if any. I am looking for a 40 inch LED TV.

I love Panasonic and would love if you guys would suggest some good ones for my requirement.

I am based in Mumbai.

I think the ES630 series 43 incher is a great TV. Visit a nearby store and try to get a demo.

You can try getting the Amazon Fire TV stick. Personally I'm using it and it's much better than I expected.
Using a lot of apps on it that works on Android phone.

I am thinking of buying Panasonic 49 inch TV E400D which is available at a decent cost plus firestick/chromecast for smart experience. This will be cheaper than smart TV but does not have optical out. Picture quality is comparable with LG,Samsung and Sony when checked side by side with SD,HD and full HD channels. Though IPS panel the picture brightness was sufficient with 50% in showroom. At home this would be OK. Picture is sharp and colours are excellent.One year basic warranty plus one year for panel is available. Additional two year warranty by Panasonic company is 12000 whereas Bajaj Finserv is giving additional warranty of two years to be serviced by them for 5900.

Personally i would avoid smart Tv's better to buy a simple TV and add a player for functionality. As its easier to upgrade and modify and make changes on the player, be it Android or Amazon stick. In the past i have had a bad experience with the network port in my TV failing due to which the entire TV was bought back by Samsung. Post that i did buy a Smart Tv, but never used the Smart features and use my Roku and Blu ray player with the same to play content from Amazon and Netflix.
