Best Plasma TV of 2012

Now that 2012 is coming to an end, it's time to vote for the best plasma of 2012.

Best picture & sound reproduction is not the only criteria here. You need to consider picture, sound, design, price, features, accessories, freebies etc.

I've shortlisted these models which are popular on HFV, but I've left out lower end plasma's here. So lets hit the voting button

VT50 will be a clear winner and again price is subjective

Keeping price in mind, I vote for Samsung 51E8000

Why restrict the choice to plasma? I also think that size should have been taken out of the option.

Since I can vote only one, I am choosing Samsung 51E8000. Reasons:

- excellent price
- wonderful panel and PQ
- Tab gift offer

Had that been not the case, I would have voted for 50GT50. Also there is not 50VT50. VT50 is available in 65" only.

I believe affordability and price are of paramount importance when it comes to making an informed buying decision and not just fancy features.
Subjectively short listed models will not do justice to the tag of plasma of the year.
Value for money is a crucial component and must be factored into the poll.
Entry level plasma TVs should not be neglected in this poll.

My vote would be for 50ST50.

1) GT series is dimmer than ST series. VT series was never seen.
2) Motion handling in 50st50 is SUPERB(both horizontal & vertical) than leds and the competing models of other plasma brands.

3) Colors are rich and contrasts are a treat.

4) 3d is sumptuous and stunning.

5) Definetly very good for SD.

The above conclusions are not drawn based on other reviews but based on "hands on" tests and viewings.

Oh, I am sorry. st50 seems not to be there in the list.

When the list was prepared with the criteria that "most popular on HFV", how was st50 missed?

Anyone who has been in this forums would instantly know that st50 is one of the most sought after and talked reference plasma.

Leaving it out of the list and asking everyone to vote(is it intended to force everyone to vote for sammy plasma for 2012?) is a crime in my opinion!

I bought the 50GT50 liked it more when compared to the ST50 was only 10K costlier. Never saw the VT anywhere.

Regarding the samsung ones. My previous LED panel from samsung developed some image problems within 18 months so lost trust in their displays as they provide limited warranty. however you may opt for third part insurance.
