What is the best small(22 inch) TV in market today? My room is pretty small and size is a concern (so going for small TV). Current CRT TVs are good?

I found threads here but all of them are a bit old.

I searched net and found two models:

Sony 22EX420
Samsung UA22D5000NRLXL

Are these good? Are there any other better models?

Priority is picture quality (Don't care about resolution). Budget would be around 20k.

I would suggest you buy the Samsung 27 inch LED Monitor which also can be used as a TV by connecting through HDMI(i.e hd dth etc). MRP is 20.5k but you will get it for 18-19k street price. It has excellent performance and also is Full HD !!!
Enjoy the smarter monitor with intelligent eco solutions. - S27A550H - LED Monitor - Monitor | SAMSUNG

It doesn't have speakers? I don't have much space to keep extra speakers :(.

@viper08 Thanks for toshiba suggestion! Looks like it is available for 9k in letsbuy now. Let me see check that model in local store.

Buy standalone speakers. Computer speakers will do. You will get it starting from 500 bucks. Why worry !! The picture quality of this model is totally amazing and it is 27 inches Full HD.

Even with DTH or with dvd player etc you can directly connect speakers and give the video out to the monitor.

The gr8 picture quality you will get for the price is insane. Trust me...

Computer monitor as a TV is not a good idea. Mostly you will get TN Pannel in Monitors which has very bad viewing angel. If you going to watch only TV then go for TV only not Monitor

Not accurate buddy. It depends from manufacturer to manufacturer. Samsung LED Monitors have excellent viewing angle and their PQ is as good as some of the TV sets a lot costlier. Pls take a demo yourself and you will know :)

Monitors do have a price advantage as they have lower ST / VAT compared to TVs. If you are on a tight budget, have space constraint and need a desktop and a TV a full HD monitor is the best way out. Use the VGA connection for computer and the DVI for set top box (TV) .

Budget is not tight, but space is. And don't have/need desktop either.

So, I've decided to go for Sony model itself. Thanks everyone for the help!
