Hi

Which would be the best soundbar plus subwoofer within 1.50 lakh. So far I heard the demo of Bose 600, JBL 9.1, Sony, Sonos Arc and B & W. Thank you.

Hello - Try Samsung Q series ones (around 1L). Surprisingly well reviewed and has really good sound and connectivity. Generally, it's said that separate components will give you better results - IMHO t sound bars have caught up and can give stiff fight to many similarly priced systems (unless they are professionally setup and tuned)

Samsung Q990D is one of the sound bars that has been topping the charts in all soundbar reviews. Check RTings, Andrew Robinson, etc.

1.50 lakh is a good budget for good surround speakers.
If you are not in a hurry and don't mind going the pre-owned route, then you can look for a decent avr and speakers in the classifieds section of Hifivision.
You can add the components in stages and it will sound way way better than any sound bar.

Thank you. Actually it for my daughter. Her Onkyo has given up after 11 years and she’s looking for soundbar option. As for me I am very happy with my Denon AVR with Jamo bookshelves and Yamaha active sub.

Thank you. I don’t know what IMHO t means. Please elaborate.

Don't buy a sound bar. You will have to buy it baar baar.
Buy an amplifier AVR with speakers and subwoofer.....yeh chalega jyada lambaa .
Thank you. I personally prefer pure audio set up. My daughter too likes it but she recently shifted and does not want too much wiring. Soundbar with sub is just plug and play. And she’s more for home theatre experience than audio. Therefore the option is limited to Soundbar.

Most welcome, then it's better to go with whatever she is comfortable with and keeps her happy :)

IHMO (In my humble opinion) :)
I am humbled. It took me long to figure out ATMOS (acronym for atmospheric effect). Ditto for many other technical terms used in this helpful forum. But I just know the sound effects of an audio system without going into the nitty gritty. I bought my first stereo system in 1978. Norge Amp, Sonidyne Tape Deck, Woodstock Floorstanding Speakers and Phillips HiFi Turntable. The sound was great. Even now for demo I play Fleetwood Mac’s Chain and Caravan by Doors. These two tracks can give you the entire gamut of frequencies.
