Best streaming of music from Apple Music

Hi currently I am streaming music from my Apple tv to AVR 9.2 channel…I listen all my music in Home Theatre using all channels …Not a fan of stereo sound…What can I do to improve my streaming to get distortion free sound … Apple tv settings are set to Dolby Digital 5.1 instead of stereo…In that way I get much wider sound stage … is there any way to use DAC and still get the dolby sound out of ATV.??

Stick with your AVR's built-in DAC since it handles Dolby Digital 5.1 nicely. Make sure your AVR settings are optimized for music playback and consider using AirPlay 2 over Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth for better sound quality. Also, double-check that you’re using high-quality HDMI cables to avoid any signal loss. An external DAC wouldn't work well for Dolby sound in this setup, so focusing on your current gear is your best bet. Hope that helps!

A DAC won't help since you're using Dolby Digital 5.1. Stick with your AVR’s DSP up mixing (Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X) for better multi-channel sound. Use AirPlay 2 for better Apple Music quality, ensure eARC is enabled, and consider a better multi-channel streamer like Zidoo or Nvidia Shield for improved audio processing.
