Other than LG, if you want to know which other brand using IPS panel is very difficult.

To be on the sure side of being an IPS panel display as you are specifically looking for IPS only, you should take a plunge on LG Electronics only. Just my humble suggestion.:)

In addition to LG, Panasonic, Philips also use IPS Panels...

I took demos of some 42" this sunday. My friend has a 42" phillips and its PQ is better than most of the 42"s I saw on sunday. It is 6000 series TV and was bought when Phillips was making their own stuff. I am after IPS because I have read/heard they are the best panels. Despite all this I need forum member inputs on IPS because every panel has its pros n cons. Yet to demo an IPS, will do this thursday.

I don't even know if IPS panels are really worth the attention they get. What's your take?

Just another take on this discussion, I saw two 40 inches Philips side by side. One was the 4700 series (I think) which was finally quoted at Rs 35,000. Another was the 6700 series (I think) with STB built in which was quoted at Rs 51,000. The picture quality was totally different.

This Philips one was looking almost like a Plasma, quality picture and natural skin tones. The cheaper one was not able to keep up. Check this one out.

By the way, this was the first time that a LED/LCD panel has been able to please me in the last so many years that LCD/LED panels have been around!

I checked out a Phillips 46" 4700 series and Panasonic E5d 50" yesterday. Though the Phillips was great value at 52k, PQ of the Panny looked washed out. I am talking about 50E5D.
