Budget amplifier in delhi area

in this forum i have come across low cost and reasonable cost amplifiers like astonia, norge etc in other parts of country. But delhi has a big electronics market including the all in one Lajpat Rai market catering to the low end and middle level. But i have not heard of anybody making or marketing low cost amplifier which is reliable with decent quality and proper service backup. Why i am raising this is when i had contacted Astonia, the response for service related matters was that i should courier the amp back to Mumbai. I have seen some HFV FM in Gurgaon area had purchased Astonia recently and perhaps they would throw light on this aspect.

While major indian and international brands are well represented in Delhi, i would request FMs in Delhi area to share their information on the availability of low cost /budget amplifier as indicated above. If they are using any such amplifier their experience would help.

It appears that either FMs in Delhi area are not interested in low budget amps or they are not aware of any such models as i have not received any response. :sad:This is particularly surprising as Delhi serves as distribution point for many low/mid end electronic products for North India and such equipment shouls be there in the market. Senior FMs if aware. may throw light on the low budget amplifier in north/delhi areas.

2-channel hi-fi audio is a niche business and not mass-market like it used to be before, especially in the mid to late 1970s and early 1980s in India. Now many of the mass market combo systems are preferred by the masses over component audio systems. That is why even seasoned TV programs like Gadget Guru refuse to review 2-channel audio (but don't mind reviewing 2.1, 5.1, etc).

A lot of 2-channel hi-fi equipment is imported by distributors and sold in the Indian market. Franchisees take up servicing of these products and have their personal trained. These may be at one or two locations only or probably close to zones where the product is likely to sell more. Indian manufacturers like Norge service their own products and hence you'd have to send the faulty equipment back to them.
