Buying a Plasma TV Panasonic P42ST30B at 71,000/-

I finally decided to get the 50UT50 for 73k, i called the Panasonic Brand store twice to confirm the availability, twice i went to the store to enquire and finally booked it on Saturday. I paid an advance payment of 40k, and was promised delivery on Monday that is today 13th of March. I got a call today morning from the shop that they don't have the 50UT50 in stock, not is it available with Panasonic.

They were offering me 50XT50, which i declined. I went to the store and collected my money. There was no hint of a apology. Not even a simple Sorry. I inquired about the 50ST50 he offered a price of 1.09 lakhs. He also had the 50ST30 he offered it to me for 98k. I was so shocked, i fell off my shield :)

I don't think its worth going for the 50ST50 for 40k more than i'd have paid for he 50UT50. Daylight Robbery!!

Needless to say, i am now totally clueless of what to buy, the UT50 was perfect for what i was looking for. Now i've ended where i began a few months back

Buying a TV is a long term decision. Don't let a few months of worries bother you.
A bad buy will leave you disappointed for a long time.

Consider yourself lucky to not having lost more than your time.
Regroup - get back out there and find something you really like and don't compromise.

You should be able to get 50ST50 below 1 lakh. There are significant quality differences between ST50 and UT50 and the price difference is justified.

But that said, I doubt whether the dealer has stock of ST50 (whether 42" or 50").
