Buying Denon avr 1612 from amazon.co.uk for 199 GBP

Do i require any step up or step down transformer when i buy this system from UK. Please post quick reply so that i can cancel the order if it doesn't worth.

It costs 18400 according to our price. Here it is 29900 Rs.

From UK, it will be 220 V only, hence Stepdown transformer is not required.
Not sure how good the deal is. Other members can reply.

I bought my Yamaha receiver from UK and will be returning to India soon. The only think I would be needing (and probably you'd be needing as well) is a India to UK travel adapter. Something like this.

many people prefer 1612 over 1312 that's why am going for 1612 for few extra GBPs. I am also considering Marantz NR1402 which have lots of decoders than Denon.

My preference is Music 50%, Movies 50%. Mostly i watch connecting my portable usb drive, laptop (graphic card), blu-ray or dvd (am planning), Videocon D2h or any other dish tv's.

Also is there any picture and sound quality improvements if i connect my dish network to my receiver then directly connecting to LED TV.

@ramvalleru... you don't need to buy any transformer.

There's no point in buying it from UK. You can get it from India only. I am not really sure about your current location but in Kolkata Chandni Chowk (like palika bazaar in delhi) you can find tons of them.

Denon uses IEC type power cable with only the mains and neutral pins. You can use power cord used for desktop pc and no need to buy adapter plugs. You should also check amazon.de. They ship to India. How are you getting the avr from amazon.uk? Will they ship it to India?

As "baijuxavior" suggested... you can get the IEC type power cable from any music store or computer store.
I was not aware that Denon uses IEC type. Sorry about that and thanks @baijuxavior.
