70% music.. With wharf 10.1 and norge 2060.. CA @ 15k and denon @ 11k.. Not too concerned with the video..

BTW, if 70% is for music, then nothing can beat the Topping-JBL combo ... read the Topping thread by Psychotropic ... you would get your answer. Spending @15 k for an upscaling DVD player does not make sense, when you can get a fundu system all inclusive @ 15 k.

Keep your current Norge 2060 + Wharf 10.1 as a second system .... :) and add on a Pioneer DVD (410 or 220) ... later.

You are still in Gangtok ...... thought, you moved back into the 'hellhole'?

Hellhole? Hell yeah! Moved here in oct.. Topping jbl combo sounds good but cant accommodate the same.. Atleast for now..a 10X12 bedroom is all the space i have.. Have to make the most of my current setup..

Denon has discontinued the DVD 1740 18 months ago. The latest player to hit the market is the DBP 1611. Its a Universal BluRay/DVD/CD player (even supports 3D BluRay) and costs around 28K. Not cheap. But offers great picture and sound.
