Can an additional TSky STB work without Dish Connection?

I have two TSky STBs. On one of them the dish cable has gone bad. I was wondering if there is any new generation of STB that allows me to watch the entire bouquet of subscribed Live TV channels over the Internet without a cable connection via Tata Play app.

I am not referring to OTT channels, only the Live TV channels using the TSky interface not their respective apps.

All the documentation seem to suggest so, but the TSky chaps don't seem to agree. They say a dish is required for live TV.

Hence was looking for someone who has actually done it.
