i have samsung ht 6750w blue ray player with 7.1 speaker system

my question is can i attatch wharfdale diamond 121 or any book shelf spaeakers for exclusive hifi purpose

Honest opinion, do not buy any expensive speakers as that unit will not be able to drive those speakers anywhere close to their full potential.

As far as I know these blu ray players transmit signals to speakers @ 3 ohms whereas the Wharfs, jamo, Boston acoustic...transmit signals @ at least 6 ohms.

Therefore, there could be some severe malfunctioning!

Yes, your figure of 3 Ohms is accurate.

To the OP, do not risk this. Also, you will have to mod the connectors on the back of the player to wire the speakers which is just 1 more reason not to to do it.

No. Not with this HTIB. If u had a standalone blu ray player with analog 2.0/5.1 outs, then in that case not the regular bookshelf but yes a 'powered bookshelf' you could easily connect and get audio no problemo.

true...you can buy speakers now..at last changing the main main unit to an avr or an amp is mandatory anyway..

as long as ohms are concenrned..higher is no problem..should not be lower than rated..

to sl4..why the connector need to be modded..
just asking..for my knowledge..no offence

to op..but obviously best option is sell it to olx..and get a proper avr and bs...

There are no direct terminals/binding posts like a regular AVR would have, so some kind of modding would be required to attach the cables. Or the existing connectors would need to be cut and the wire be attached, thus voiding all Warranty, etc.

OH....true..i thought they are having some spring type connectors..
to op..you use it as secondary or sell it..then get avr and speakers step by step

i think i will pass it on
my requirements for this room in my office is 16 feet by 16 feet by 10 feet

all three surfaces have vitrified tiles , i love to listen to classicals , old hindi songs, instrumentals in very low volume say 30 to 40 % of the output
I need device with blue tooth and aux in
hence i narrowed down to
1 sony mini hifi mhc gzx 33d
2 diamond 121 speakers with denon pma 520[ available with hi fi mart ] or yamaha with blue tooth receiving device
3 any good guidance from you all
budget around 40 to 50 k

thanks

Most people will say option 2, I would too. The Denon with Wharfedales is a superior product.

BUT, I would say hear both, If you find a huge difference between the two buy the one that sounds better. All the best.
