Can XBMC over HDMI and Foobar over USB DAC Possible?

Yes got it but what kind of a cable does this Line Out support for RCA. I was in the impression that Line Out will be 2 RCA jacks (Red/White) for connecting to the 2RCA of the receiver. This is something different which I had not seen earlier.

Hi manni, thats good approach for controlling foobar via tablet. Even I am on lookout for a cheap tablet for this purpose may be max upto 6K.

Slightly off-topic, but why dont you want to use the internal DAC provided by Yamaha RXV-571 ?
Asking as i havent used dedicated DAC's, and wondering if the internal RXV-57 's "Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit DACs for all channels" is not good enough?

That's what I am presently using it on my music-pc over the SPDIF cable connected to the 571. The sound is very good but I am trying to get rid of my music-pc and want to integrate htpc and music on to one PC. My htpc does not have SPDIF out hence the need to go with usb dac.

Ok got that.

Then why not pipe the music from htpC via hdmi to 571. Or is there any special reason for using SPDIF over HDMI for music, that i am not aware.

Somehow reading different reviews and first hand experience with fellow FM the PC USB DAC with RCA plugged to the receiver is any day better than any medium range receiver like ours yamaha 571's capability to convert the digital to analog conversion. I have listened music over xbmc over HDMI and it is bad and I did not enjoy. The SPDIF out from my PC to the receiver was sounding way better than HDMI and ofcourse I was playing this over the Foobar2000 with Wasapi plugin.

My wife has one, but she will never let me use the foobar controller that I secretly installed in that if she finds me using that for my HT
