Recently bought this. Expensive. Have not even fully burned them in. But I am left with no doubt, with due respect to the snake oil theories, that good cables can lift your music to another realm!

How is the performance? Where did you buy this Cable and for what cost? I'm also looking at buying Cardas speaker cable. Please let us know your thoughts on improvements you found.

I bought the cable from an authorised Cardas dealer while traveling abroad. Paid USD 1200 for a 3m pair, a good deal compared to the online price of around USD 1600.
As for performance of the cable, it is always going to be a subjective opinion. It depends so much on the matching equipment and the listener's ears. I have been experimenting with several cables over the years. My system used to sound a little harsh in the upper mids, perhaps arising from the Esoteric CDP or the Audiovarna settings on my Mac. Any tweaking would be a trade off between brightness and darkness. Any substitution of components to a warmer product would almost feel as though a loudness switch had been switched on. Any substitution with a brighter product would adversely affect musicality and cohesion, apart from harsh treble. So I have played around with components, DACs, digital cables, interconnects and speaker wires. My dealer friends have been kind enough to provide me with gear on trial. As for speaker cables, I tried VDH Clearwater, VDH Goldwater, VDH CS 122, Monster, Mogami 2804, Anticable, Nordost, Audioquest, Gotham and Ecosse. Until now, each new cable had made a small difference and I wasn't able to tell whether the difference could be taken for real.

What I had read about Cardas tempted me to take a blind shot. I was expecting to see some improvement, but not as much as I heard as soon as I connected them. Everyone in the house too noticed the difference. To me, the Cardas adds a lovely mid-range tonality which makes the sound very musical. Some palpable feeling of being 'there' with the artists, sometimes making you believe that all that sound was recorded acoustically, without any electronics. I'm sure I will stay with these cables a long long time.

Don't want to say any more because, like I said earlier, it is all so subjective.

By the way, I mostly listen to jazz, classical and classic rock.

Cheers!
