Hello All,

It's nice to join the group where audio is viewed as a passion and not as an accessory to the visuals of TV and movies.

Currently I am in search of setting up a mid-range AV setup and below is my previous experience

AV : Onkyo TX-NR607
Speakers : Audioengine A2 bookshelves, Onkyo SKS-HT540,
Desktop speakers :Logitech X-540
Headphones : UE series (pro & consumer grade), Bose IE2i

The entire AV & speaker set were sold while moving back to India and thus the search to setup something fresh and build it over time.

Hi

Welcome to HFV. I am sure you will find suggestions, recommendations and answers to your queries or issues you are facing for AV matters...

There are a lot of dealers in Pune who you should go and visit to get a fair idea of wha systems are available and start listing down what appeals to you in performance, appearance, connectivity requirements and budget...

There is stiff competition in the market where brands are making new models or systems in order to stay on top of sales, hence go for the system which fulfills your requirements...IMHO the new AVRs released since 2014 have gimmicks of WiFi or Bluetooth which really don't perform that well....I have friends who face this challenge....and it depends on user to user on how setup is done and how the AVR etc is used.

The closest location for you is Mumbai, perhaps you can come to Mumbai and audition different brands and models and make a list......

If budget is a challenge, see the For Sale by Owner Section or Hi Fi Ads...

Trust your ears and choose wisely....

All the best

Thanks a lot.

I had a good time checking out auditions of quite a few speakers at Mumbai & I think I have found the closest one, now what remains is committing the ink to the paper to get the 1st speakers into home.
