Hi,
I want to install ceiling fitted speakers in my new house. I want the music to be played in 3 rooms i.e. there will be 3 sets of speakers installed. My total budget is upto 40k incl Amplifier. Please suggest which speakers and Amp should I go for. And also suggest a dealer in Delhi.
Thanks

I think using a Speaker selector switch and Power amplifier is a better option for multi zone whole house audio. ProFx has ready made solutions under their commercial series. Sonodyne also has solutions I think. FXe has Russound which is a known name for whole house audio.

I just got a relative's setup done using 8 ProFx PRO231 & 4 KEF CQ50i ceiling speakers. That is total 12 speakers divided in 6 stereo pairs. I used a Russound 6-pair speaker selector switch which allows you to turn on/off any or all the 6 pairs and presents a unified impedance to the power amp. The Power amp used was the Russound X125 which has independent volume / balance control in front and a master gain control at the back. The result was excellent! You can of course use any Impedance matching speaker selector + budget stereo amp.

If you don't need this functionality, then a 7.1 channel AVR will serve the purpose almost as well. But a budget one will not have zone 2 (Zone 3 is out of the question). You can play front only or front+surround or front+surround+surround back. But you wont be able to play only surround and keep front off.

Thanks for your reply.
Someone suggested me Sonodybe CI6XI speakers (Rs 3900 each). What are your views on that and which amplifier should I go for?

Go for Sonodybe CI6XI, I installed them in my restaurant and they r best,
where are you from I bought mine in much cheaper rate

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
