Yes both are the same. I use the RCA video cable that I got for my Sony HiFi VCD system to connect my bluray player to Yamaha receiver thru coaxial. I use this connection to play Audio CD's.

Thanks

The coaxial cable as sold by Belkin, Monster, etc. is thicker, has better shielding and probably gold plated. Actually any RCA cable will work. While it is not necessary to purchase a high cost cable ($20 1m cable), a person should not be stingy either ($1-3, 1m). Coaxial signal is digital and hence it is not affected by analogue noise. A Rs. 200-250 cable is good enough.
