This is what I did to my coax cable requirement to connect to my RME DAC
- used a single core silver cable 22awg with Teflon insulation
- measured the characteristics impedance of the cable after assembling them. It turned out to be 72 ohms
- using this as my SPDIF cable with superb results.
Fortunately the RME DAC Coaxial input doesn't require a 75 ohm cable termination as it's Coaxial input is transformer coupled. So you are free to experiment without fear of getting any noise.
