My friend has bought a discontinued model of samsung LED TV and because of this , he got good discount. So try to identify the models of plasma/LED in the market, which is discontinued. You can probably ask the dealer.

Cheers

In samsung there is a 50+ inch plasma 51F5500 it's a smart and 3D tv. You can check that I guess the price is less than 75000.

have just purchased panasonic 50a410d LED TV fr 68k approx,u can opt for the smart version at arnd 76k.the picture quality is very good, a lot better than led tv's of other brands.alo IMO buying a plasma tv now isnt advisable as its been phased out slowly, other members can confirm the fact.
hope this helps

In that budget, I can only come up with 2 PDPs which are Samsung 51F5500 (3D) and LG 50PB6600 (non-3D). Samsung is leaving the plasma business this year and hopefully, LG will be in this business for another couple of years. You can buy a LED but you won't get what you're devouring right now :D Tell me I'm wrong !

51f5500 , hows PQ and other features of this TV? Is it better than panasonic 60S60, in PQ?

I can't say that 51F5100 is better in PQ than the Panasonic 60S60 as I haven't compared them side-by-side. But it's one of the best display in it's price range. Demo that and you won't go for the LED. Also demo the LG 50PB6600 which is a non-3D smartTV and it's the latest model of 2014 with many improvements over the PN4500.

s60 is a better tv than samsung 51f5500 because of deeper blacks and well saturated colours....try to find out panasonic 50e6 led or the sony 50w800b led...both tvs have excellent reviews....take a demo and decide....but i should say that going from a plasma to a led is very difficult for a plasma lover because
you don't find deep blacks and realistic images in any led as you find in a plasma...if you are not happy with led then definitely you can go for the samsung 51f5500...it is a good tv...no doubt about that....take a demo of all the 3 tvs and decide...all the best.....and try the cnet settings for the s60 you have for the best picture.....
