Sony DAV-DZ510 has a TOSlink audio jack. I am not sure what airtel DTH HD has. Any help will be appreciated.

Airtel hd has a hdmi out and left right channel audio out and video out ,if u want to experience 5.1 sound then u have to connect it with a hdmi cable which comes with the hd settop box to the receiver :-)

If u dont have a hdmi input in ur receiver then connect the video out of the settop box to tv and audio out to receiver input ,it may be written as aux or cd in :-)
But u cant hear 5.1 sound:-(

I think you are wrong. Airtel HD does not send 5.1 audio through HDMI. It does send 5.1 via coaxial or optical audio out

HI
I have a different problem. I have Sony DAV-DZ555K HT and it doesn't have Optical / coaxial in, it has got only TV/VIDEO (AUDIO R/L) JACKS. Now i have Airtel HD & Sony LED TV, I am not getting Sorround sound effect of HD channels, Pls anyone can suggest
is there any option to connect Optical out form STB to HT Audio in for same HT.

Thanks in advance

@pravk - check if your airtel hd stb has optical out. if its having u can connect the optical out of stb to optical in of ht. else if it's passed through hdmi (this cant be the case as far as i know) u can take the optical out from tv (here also if your tv supports) to ht.

@kitts - sorry, u cant get surround effects with your current setup.

Thanks for your reply,
Now I have decided to go Receiver Amplifier, Because i need to buy a Blue ray player also,Can i use the same speakers of HT or should i buy all the 5 speakers ?

Seeking your help !!
