Creative T6100 using as a 2.1 set

Hi All,

Here's my query.

I have a Creative T6100 5.1 set with green,orange and black inputs for 6 channels. I want to connect it my mp3 player with stereo output. So suppose I'm using the green input(front) connected to my player.

My question is will this alone work as a 2.1 set up? Means will it fire the subwoofer without the separate center/sub woofer input.

I'm not connecting the center and rear speakers at all. I want to make it working as a 2.1 set as the inspire T3100 is not available in stock

Is there an external AMP ? I am sure your sub will function while playing stereo as main speakers are all small.

Yeah, it works awesome. Nice speakers, especially I love the tweeters

Good speakers. Don't know about MP3 player but on the PC you can use Foobar or other players in 2.0/2.1 mode.
