Hello everyone.. Previously I had posted a thread on purchasing Samsung 46D8000 LED. After one month of waiting the TV got delivered. To my horror I found that the TV has light bleeding issue at the edges and also there were lot of white patches visible on the screen in dark scenes. I raised a complaint with Samsung.
Scene 1 : The technician arrived and he looked at it and told me it is a normal issue. I got irritated and asked him how can an Issue be normal on a brand new TV. He tried to convince me that it is common with LEDs. I did not budge and he called someone in Samsung and he told that they will refund my money. I accepted.
Scene 2 : Next day I called the technician regarding status update and he gave me a number and asked me to talk to hi AV dept head. I called and that guy said refund is not possible and he will replace the panel. I refused and gave him two options Replace the TV else refund the money. He told he will replace the TV to which I agreed. He told TV will be replaced by Friday(I called him on Monday) which was fine.
Scene 3 : Friday arrived but the TV did not.. I called this guy no answer to the call. I messaged him asking for status he replied stating he will send the TV by Saturday evening. Saturday same scene repeated. As usual no picking up of phone. I messaged and he told TV will be replaced by Wednesday.. I got furious with this and replied back saying that process for refund. No reply. Agigated I looged into samsung website and sent an email to the CEO desk.
Scene 4 : Next day I got a call from samsung and also an email from CEO desk regarding the issue and this head of AV dept called me and told that due to no stock they will process for refund to which I agreed. I got the refund cheque last friday and my search for new TV began

Initially thought of going with Sony HX925 but wifey did not like it, Next option was LG LM series.. Stock not arrived... Went to Samsung showroom in Mantri mall and saw this new 2012 series of Samsung and I was sold on ES7500. Paid amount in full and got delivery next day. May 2012 manufactured brand new TV :yahoo:..

Initial Impressions : 2d quality is awesome.. watched 3d Shrek movie during night by switching off all lights and the experience is mindblowing..No flickering.. However in daylight I can notice slight flickering of the 3d glasses..
2d to 3d conversion is quite good but not feeling so great after watching the actual 3d capabilites of this tv through shrek.. SD channels quality varies by channel ranging from good to bad. Bad being few regional channels. HD channels are :licklips:

Sound quality : I have connected the TV optical out to Onkyo receiver and though the sound is not too high, the quality is outstanding..

I will post few pics of the TV soon..

Hi Vikki,
I am also planning for this TV and when I checked with Rel Dig they said it has not yet been received.

Can you confirm which shop in mantri and what price?

Did you get any free gift?

Regards,

I had paid visit to samsung stor in jayanagar and found the version as TD01 for 46ES7500. Can someone clarify what is this TD type?

Thanks in anticipation.

Checked with Samsung Technical Customer Care India, and they could confirm that both D & ES series use only SPVA panel.

Ofcourse he did not have clue about Version - TD-01.

Now i am desperate to get some confirmation before I book this TV today.

Any help is appreciated, as I could not get any other information from AVS for.m also.

Regards,

PS - Vikki. Sorry to hijack your thread but would welcome if you can confirm the version that you have.

Hello Callerid I do not know how to check the version. I bought this tv in Samsung store in Mantri mall for 1.43l with shrek 3d blu ray free.. Apart from this did not receive any..

Thanks for the info. Version can be found on the back of tv where there is a sticker with model and version.
I have now booked the same with Ojas, Jayanagar and he has promised delivery by Monday. Keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks / Regards
