This is 2016 and I completely agree with Suhas who made this post way back in 2008. I approached AV Excellence and Oceanic and both have helped me like anything.

I could not find Sound and Vision in East St, I heard they have moved. Would be great if somebody could point to their new location.

My experience with AVexcellence :

They have most of the brands but the sales people there have no clue of the features, latest costs etc. The prop Anand Lulla caters only to high-profile clients himself. But they do keep a variety.
Most pune dealers including SNV, Oceanic are reluctant to deal with people on small budget like 50k-1L. SNV does not have a demo room.
On the other hand, i have heard good praise for boomarang , mumbai.

I agree with Thakre in regards to AVexcellence. I have enjoyed interacting with most dealers in Pune and discussing music & technology with them but AVexcellence seems like a broker's office only focussed on money.

It all depends on how you approach them !

Weird concept of customer service. You are suggesting the customer is responsible for getting bad customer service. No wonder customer service in India is bad as compared to the west.
