Dear Mods! - Banned Members

Hi,

I consider myself a rookie and to a certain extent, naive as far as technicality and interpersonal relationship go. I have been closely watching the forum more than anyone else for the past 3 days, but as a silent, spellbound spectator, as I do not possess any knowledge in the equipments discussed by the members.

I dont know Asit or Suri, never spoke to them, not even through PM or anything, up until now. I definitely do not have a proof for this, Mods can check my pm if needed. I have read their posts and Asit is a person who definitely spoke his heart a lot of times in his posts and his posts are very informative and mature. He definitely maintained demeanor and decorum as they should up until now.

I understand that Suri is banned for his "poetry" but at least he definitely deserved a warning, but do not have a clue why Asit and not others? There are several others who exceeded their limits in one or several of their posts.

Let me register it here, I am here for the knowledge! I admire you all for your knowledge and not because you are professionals and CEOs of some companies. I guess we are all here for the knowledge and nothing else. We develop personal contacts outside the forum, through phone, email ID, etc. and that is at our own discretion. For e.g., AE, as a forum member, had helped other members and had guided them in several ways, if not definitely misguided and cheated. As long as I am buying a speaker, I am only worried about the "piece of suggestion" that is coming from the person I am seeking the advise from, not whether he is from MIT or blah blah. Accuse him something else if he has done it for a cost, but looks like he made STD calls out of his cost, every penny counts! Why did you believe all he said in the first place, without verifying and why suddenly now? I am fine with your confrontation and integrity stuff, but why to confront a person with photographs? I think this should not have happened at any cost and mods should have taken appropriate actions when this was done. This can be done in a very subtle way. Mods could have given some 24 or 48 hours for AE to explain and could have banned for not doing so then.

There was also an instance where a newbie directly attacked our "esteemed" member, but then no action was taken!

I am quick shocked and stunned as to Asit's, Suri's and soundsgreat's ban, when others are not banned! At this juncture, I still run the risk of my getting banned for creating this thread, but regardless I have earned good friends here and have had a happy stay here.

I am going to get some sleep today after all!

I hope this thread is not going to go on and on like the "other" thread.... ultimately resulting in ban for a few members.

I read Suri's poetry post and wonder what made him write it... maybe in moment of heat..

so guys, be careful what you write here.

WHAT???? why soundsgreat? why suri sir? he is the most coolest guy here for his age?? don't know what poetry he wrote!!!! strange...I am sure we will miss their DIY effort..on a lighter note...this looks like a third person getting beaten up in a fight between 2 other..

This banning spree is indeed very unfortunate....I think we need a protocol here for banning members

1) If any forum member with considerable reputation has posted an outright offensive post due to few circumstances>>> Such post should be edited to null by mods followed by a warning to the forum member. 3 such warnings to be issued. And if that member is repeatedly posting which adds fuel to any fire....his account be suspended for a period of week. 2 such suspensions leads to a permanent ban.

2) If any newbie/forum member who does nothing but creates ruckus on this forum shall be directed to forum rules section and their posts be deleted by Mod. 3 such warnings will disable his account permanently.

3) If any person is posting objectionable and sensitive photos/material and linking to such webpages will be notified once and another such incident...an outright ban on him/her.

4) In the greater interests of the forum, Mods may also delete such posts which are leading to an argument and any of the above 3 be applied to participants of that topic.


These might seem little autocratic....but brothers...like someone here said...be cultured before you exercise your free will....such discipline has to be maintained...the above recommendations can be more refined/changed/ignored by 3mods as they know more about rules of our forum.

I voiced my opinion as the current banning spree appeared too random (I don't know the actual reasons) and needs some rule based regulations as banning is the last resort for Mods to restore normalcy.

I hope things will get better as we proceed further.

Mods, my post was not to challenge/undermine your actions recently...I fully believe that the actions taken today were in the best interest of our forum.
