Denon 2300 or marantz 5011

Guys confuse between this two models I already have onkyo 609 and it's perfect wanna coz changed my tv to 55 4K so want 4K pass through suggest me should I stick to onkyo or go for either one model please and the margin of amount between marantz and denon is 3k

Do a comparison on both for features, specs and performance....

Check also the calibration tools available and decide....

I would edge more towards a Marantz.....better built quality than a Denon

denon-2300 is excellent receiver if you are a movie enthusiast,it has dolby atoms/dts x,7.2ch. the additional .2 is for atmos overhead ch..

If you can get 7.4ch with 4 additional overhead, for future upgrade will be worth the purchase.

For movies no doubt denon ,,for stereo listening marantz...

Marantz any day over Denon.
marantz has preout for all the channels. Not sure if the denon has it.
Marantz has a higher International market price and its only in India that both sell for similar price.

I referred to the last digit in the series 7.2.2, and that is for atmos..
would prefer 7.2.4 or 7.1.4 (.4 is for 4 overhead atmos ceiling speakers)

Really sorry to hijack your thread but not willing to open a new thread for small question. I am in the search of AVR from past few months. Audition most of the AVR and finally selected Denon AVR x4300 and Marantz SR6011. As Denon was not available for audition ( Already have audition x3300) and costlier than SR 6011 , I dropped x4300 and move to Marantz SR6011 and place a order. As 6011 was not available currently and shipment was due on 20 August. Now after arrival shipment, dealer has informed that instead of SR6011 company has shipped SR6012 and company has stopped manufacturing SR6011. He is ready to give me SR6012 to the same price of that 6011. But not yet found any opinion or review of 6012 on net. He also informed that 6012 is fairly advance compare to 6011 with 32 bit DAC, HEOS Module and Dolby Vision, HDR10, HGL and 4K pass through etc and retain the same amplification module that of SR6011. Please help, else will start auditions phase again.

SR6012 might not sound significantly different from SR6011.. It anyways would get 4 - 5 What hi-fi stars.. (Marantz Legacy hyeah Don't worry abt audition, think you should pick it..

Consider yourself very lucky.. The dealer is ready to give you the brand new series AVR for the same price as outgoing model..

You should take the 6012 without any issue, as it would have features better than the 6011 and SQ would be same as the 6011.

Denon 2300 is not 7.2.4. It can either be used as 7.2 or 5.2.2.
