1. Assign amp to front A&B, not Zone 2.
2. Check all the wire connections again
3. Follow the sequence of power on : first display - > AVR - >Source and then check
4. Correct the A7s level to zero and check, else increase it to be audibly more than equal to other channel speakers.
5. Run in stereo mode with only A7s and check does avr shuts off?
6. Run Audessey without Subwoofer and keep SW level to zero and check.
7. Check your power supply board, if you have computer UPS , connect the AVR power plug to UPS & try

Go through all the connections again. It could be a connection issue.

Turn Auto standby OFF.

You have it in 5.1 configuration, yeah? Hopefully not in Front (L/R) + Center only.

If you suffer from low voltage problems then it can produce those symptoms too.

But IMO the amp is a bit underpowered for floorstanders. What is the volume level on the amp?

Yes, you are right, the AVR is underpowered for A7s in my opinion too, but that may not be the problem for AVR shutting down.

I'm using Denon X2200w with Polk RTI a5 Floor standers, OP is using Polk a7. I feel even X2200w with 95wpc is seriously underpowered to drive a5s. OP is driving a7s with x1200 @ 80wpc.

The power hungry nature of A9s & a7s has been amply discussed in Polk forums ; A7s & A9s need a dedicated amp setup to drive them, though a5s can be driven by regular AVRs.

Guys .... Many Thanks... greatly appreciate you spending time... I finally got...
I am presently streaming from my HDD into my LG TV direct... The TV is connected to the AVR by an optical cable.. Setting on the AVR is TV Audio. The thing is that the AVR goes into standby if audio OR video signals are not received by it at predefined intervals. Mine was set at 15 mins by default. The issue is solved by setting the control to Off.

Thanks very much for the time spent and help rendered....

So what setting did you change? Would be helpful.

Edit: Nevermind. Auto standby should have read more closely.
