Difference between flicker and crosstalk

Well, crosstalk and flicker result only in active 3D TVs (e.g., Samsung), and are absent from passive 3D TV sets (such as LG 3D TVs). Crosstalk and flicker are both by-products of the way a shutter glass operates - by closing and opening alternately at high rates. Flicker results from this shuttering itself, while crosstalk results when the shuttering is out of sync with the TV. Both the issues can result in considerable eye strain, not to mention the resultant loss in picture quality.
