Just to be on the safer side...Oh k.. I was thinking these are pre (chemical) washed..
Not necessarily suspended; the pulley and the rope mechanism is basically to pull up and draw down the screen.I like the pulley & rope .. Hope you mean the screen will be suspended from ceiling..Should be really nice..With toddler around, i will consider this option a while later..
My pleasure! Thanks again for your inputs..
Looks much better. I used heavy duty staples using a staple gun. Any sofa guy would have it, he will be happy to do it for a small price.
Not a good idea to glue. Screw in U shaped clips on the back of border. Put clips such a way that he closed end of U shaped clip is on outside edge of the border. Then push these clips on screen edges.
Looks very nice. Can you mount the screen a bit higher? From the seating position, I think it will be a bit uncomfortable to view in the current position.
Behind the screen..[emoji1]
This was a flip up model, just to get access behind the screen.. Cant have fixed frame in a living room..
Nice DIY effort @elangoas. :clapping:
1. While being flipped up, how about covering it with some printed (light weight) clothing. So that you can cover up the frame & black lycra material. Also, when you plan to cover up like this, you can even go with the wooden frame border as you've done on the front side of the screen. This wooden frame would even cover up that white lycra.
2. Internal wiring for the STB, speaker cables et al pending, I guess. You could've easily done this civil work when you had altered the window (behind the screen)
3. Oh! Those hooks to keep the screen flipped up... They look too close to the pivot point (hinges); may be, within 1 to 1-1/2'? Hope they're drilled on to wooden pegs (in the wall); not the nylon pegs. Not only that! The top of the screen (when being flipped up! Actually, what I mean is the bottom part of the screen in viewing mode) may go out of shape, just minutely, as it is floating in air because of these hooks too close to the hinges. That top portion may be swaying in mid air due to its own weight and enormous width. May be, in the long run, the screen might warp just a little. May be! I might be wrong. But a couple of hooks near the top might not do any harm. And they should keep the screen intact when being flipped up.
Brilliant DIY effort too good, enjoy the setup :clapping:
