DIY Floorstanders with peerless drivers - 3 way

Hi,
How much is the total cost of this pair of Floor Stands?

20K including everything.

1600*4== woofers
1250*2== Tweeters
850*2=== Mid
4000==Xover
3000== Wood+carpenter
2000== Others..

Not sure whether these are a decent competetion to the professional 20K towers are not? Let few guys audition and then I can come to a conclusion.

For now, I achieved what I needed. Hence very happy.

Thats wonderful...so DIYAUDIO CART is making waves...i definitely have some things to order from them, now i see they have cross overs as well..have to check if those crossovers work for my project.;)

Hello All,

First of all i should thank thenvk!! for the audition of his towers..:-)

First time i have auditioned some DIY Stuff.

The towers he made sound superb..and they definitely met his requirement, THUMPING BASS.

He shared his experience on the DIY route.

But still i would say the itch is still inside me, i want to test and taste this route.

The toughest part is the Crossovers as per his experience, even i felt that after so much reading.

So I think i would first start off with the bookshelfs, if that is successful let me go with the next one's.

Thanks,
hari

Hari, thank you for your comments.. Let me know if you need any help from me.

but as I suggested for HT set up front speakers, you don't need the towers with woofers as you will have dedicated sub.

Hi Ananth,

Good something again from hyderabad...!!

I have done a build using peerless drivers and amplifiers made by Eight Audio.

The performance is very good..so far.

This guy Eight Audio has done Xovers for me, and amplifiers.

You can come for audition any time on saturdays.

I can give Contact number of the Eight Audio guy. He will be of great help for your project. Even members like Goldyrathore can give lot of guidence to you.

My project idea was given by Goldy..i have met thenvk auditioned his speakers as well. I felt so happy this was the first time i was listening to DIY stuff.

I wish Thenvk,Goldy and you and infact all HFV members to audition my speakers.

But one thing is sure..once your project is complete and you start listening to it..you will not listen anything other than that.

All the very best..!

Thanks,
Hari
