Forget the one mentioned by Sachin. I have one that was actually a DIY project that was run in Stanford for a year, and then shifted to MIT as they had better technology. This projector has three lenses, one of which is a regular optical lens, one an LCD lens, and the third uses Blu-Ray lasers. This projector will present one third of the screen in FullHD, one third in 720P, and the final bit in 480i. You can choose which part of the screen should be in which resolution. This projector was dangerously close to destroying the market, and I was threatened with my life unless I take the projector and run back to India.
The DIY cost me close to 2 years and some 3.5 lakhs. Since I am not using it, I am ready to sell it for 20K give or take a few thousands.
