Sir
The switch is a 15 amps 4PDT, and have only two positions only ON & ON and NO OFF position available.
Sure sir, i will operate the switch at offline (both amplifiers switched off) only. Thank you for your very valuable suggestion. Before i made this switch i read the below line on some another forum.
"ON-OFF-ON switch prevents having both speakers to be on at the same time (even for the split second). Just a bit of protection. ON-ON is fine but I would recommend turning the amp off before switching the speakers"
This is the reason i use ON-OFF-ON switch for this application.
Yes...both the terminals should cut-off completely at the off position. But never use this with tube amps as they need to see a load at all times when powered on.Before i made this switch i read the below line on some another forum.

So, you mean this is not possible to use with a valve Integrated and AVR combination sir?Yes...both the terminals should cut-off completely at the off position. But never use this with tube amps as they need to see a load at all times when powered on.
You can, but always switch off the tube amp before switching the connection to AVR and switch back the connection first before switching on the tube amp.So, you mean this is not possible to use with a valve Integrated and AVR combination sir?
Now there are options available using Amazon. The below one has VU meters tooOof. This is great. Sorry to bump an old thread but I was googling an elegant solution for switching between two amps and TTs while using a single pair of speakers, and it led me right back to this forum. I’d love to get my hands on one of these boxes if anyone is selling. Alternatively, any suggestions on good brands and places to look? Thanks in advance.
Thank you. Yes I had seen that but I wasn’t keen on dropping 15k for a solution. 2-3k for something seemed amazing By the way, I was just reading one of your other posts on a thread discussing amp classes and sound signatures, where you had posted this same pic and I am intrigued by the Fosi monoblocks. Seem like downright ridiculous value. I have one of Fosi’s basic phono stages lying in a box somewhere and I never investigated them (the brand) further. Must do now.Now there are options available using Amazon. The below one has VU meters too

I use this and combination of RCA switcher to switch inputs and outputs between two pair of speakers and two pair of amps, one AVR and multiple dacs, one turntable, one CD player, chromecast audio, mac mini, etc. All done without needing to get up and change cables.

Here you go. I get no hum from this. I also made a DIY switcher with Eliotts Preamp, pass b1 and a 2 pole 4 way switch which relatively was a better value proposition than the below one. Few years back I wasn't that lazy. Now I prefer getting a ready made solution as it is impossible to get good aluminium casings for DIY in India. Earlier we had aliexpress to get such cases.Btw could you post a pic of your RCA switcher? I got one off Amazon for another old system and it’s frankly awful with terrible interference on each input. So I was looking for other options there too.
Neat. Next time I want to make a speaker switch I will try this. It should be easy fixing this on a flat wooden surface using 4 screwsI use this Four Pole Changeover 40A for switching amps.
