DLNA Technology on LED TVs

I am planning to buy LG LW5700 Cinema 3D TV.It has got DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) technology through which you can connect media being played on your PC or Laptop or Mobile or PS3 to be transmitted wirelessly on the TV (you should be on the same WiFi connection).

Any users of DLNA technology ,pl. tell me if it is really worth to go for this technology on latedt TVs and how well this works .
