Hi Guys,

Hope you are all doing well. After a long time, I am back here.

I have 2 questions;

1. I am thinking to download a movie with DTS HD content so I just want to know whether there are any differences between DTS core and DTS HD? My TV has DTS core and will it support DTS HD? Here is the links to TV specs

UA32D5000PR - TECH SPECS | SUPPORT | SAMSUNG

2. Does onkyo 3500 support AAC 5.1? If yes, what mode we need to choose? Also let me know whether my TV will able to send AAC 5.1 signal to AVR.

Thanks
Dharan

Here are my responses:
1. Yes there are differences in DTS and DTS-HD. Your TV will not support either of them as they are either 5.1 and 7.1 channel sound. Hence your receiver should take of that and Onkyo 3500 supports both the formats.
2. Most of the receivers including 3500 does not support AAC audio format. You need to send it as PCM through your source like a media player or blu-ray player and the receiver will most probably decode it as Dolby Digital and you can get 5.1 audio and your TV will not send or support AAC audio.

Thanks
