DTDC Air courier - worst experience

Many of us buy and sell articles and dispatch them through courier. The DTDC is one such courier company which is giving me nightmares.

Reasons -

- They keep on giving a new number every time you call them.
- When you call the new number they will give another new number to check.
- Finally when you call this number no one will pick this number.

Their policy says air-cargo will be delivered in the 48 hrs time period. My 48 hrs got over at 11AM today and i have yet to get an idea of where the consignment is actually lying.

I am not sure if i am expecting too much from them or if i should have more patience dealing with such kind of indifferent industry.

Others please share your experience...

We will know how in general this industry operate which we rely to much for our goods to be delivered.

BTW I have used GATI road transport and found them much better than DTDC air courier.

Pity. I have used them many times ( and have also used Blue Dart and others). Even BD-supposedly a premium service) has given me stress!

Me too had an irritating experience with DTDC . Loaded a consignment( 2 FS Polk TSI400) from home town to Chennai( 400 kms) with an assurance that it would be delivered by next day evening. Since then I had to call for three days continuously to their cell at Chennai and their godown at some where at Chennai and everyday they would confirm that it is getting delivered by that day evening. At last after 3 days I got the consignment on late evening. Also they were asking two helping hand to bring it to First floor for which I told No.

Reason for more irritation, on my AVR purchase from ebay global, got the dispatch confirmation on the same day when I loaded the speakers with DTDC and AVR got delivered on next day at Chennai from NEWYORK.

Since then I avoid those ebay.in supplier whoever says that the consignment would be thru DTDC.

Never had any problems with DTDC doesn't matter if the package is heavy or light or fragile. Always in estimated time.

Maybe you guys haven't experienced the Overnite Express couriers. Most shoddy service. The package reached Chennai on 10th March and I'm yet to receive it. Customer care still trying to locate this package.

Never had any problem with Overnite Express too, pretty smooth service in my area.
