Hi Guys,

I fnally decided to go with LA32D450... Buying in ebay...this seller has 100% rating..but price is quite cheaper compared to ohters..it is coming around 22K.. here is the link.... SAMSUNG LA32D450 32" LCD TV | eBay

Does anybody did transaction with this seller or at least ebay? Can I go ahead and book? Any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance...

Regards

YOu can go with it with ur eyes closed...i always buy from ebay never had any issues, in around 15-20 transactions so far, i have even tried ebay global when i bought AVR from US so never had any issue...its safe...

Thanks buddy...that give me some kind of confidence... Now I can think of placing the order... Others please give ur inputs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have also bought a lot of gagets from eBay India and haven't faced any issues. But I haven't bought any TV from the site.eBay is safe since the seller gets paid by eBay only when the buyer receives the item & says confirms on the portal.Till that time eBay doesn't release the payment to the seller. Moreover you can buy in installments also.
Before you pay hope u've checked in detail about the item from the seller using the ask a question link.Ask him whether he'll be giving the original receipt of the set.1 yr dealer warranty means what ? if the TV doesn't work properly during the warranty period will it be serviced by Samsung or by the dealer,as the dealer is in Faridabad & u are in Hyderabad.Ask him if it is demo model ?All these points should be cleared with the seller b4 u place an order.

Thanks ash147...Yes.. you are right..I need to clarify all the points before placing the order.. Let me check with the seller... If everything goes good then I will place the order

Dealer warranty means you'll have to send the TV to the seller and bare the to and fro shipping charges, which for a TV is not cheap. Dealer warranty is as good as having no warranty as many dealers seldom take after sales seriously.

In case you do go ahead and buy it, make sure that you unpack the TV and test it fully before you sign for the courier. Don't take no for an answer from the courier guys. There are many stories where the display was broken and the unsuspecting consumer signed for the courier. Once you sign for it, and if there is damage, even ebay won't side with you.

Hmmm... Got the point...Now I am in confusion whether to go for online or not..... Anyhow I will contact seller to get all the details about warranty and other details

Hi,

I hv also had good experience with ebay. But u should ensure following

1.) He should be a power seller.
2.) If u and the seller are in different cities, then dealer warranty makes no sense.
3.) Such low price and dealer(not manufacturer's) warranty means it is a grey market item.

Hence always go for items which carry manufacturer's warranty if u and the seller r from different cities.

If the item is expensive and you don't know the dealer, I would say stay away. What the **ck is dealer warranty anyway? Will they give you a legal document that you can take to a consumer court? Why is Samsung not going to honor the warranty? Is it refurbished? Or imported from Thailand? Or a clone?

If I was on a tight budget, I would buy used.

Do not go for it the price is not that cheap. The TV is not full HD and the resolution as per the eby is only 1366 x 768.

If you are on a tight budget go for a Toshiba from local dealer with manufacturer warranty. They are good ones despite not having any brand following.

Thanks for all your inputs... Actually I was unaware of what is dealer warranty.. Now I got it............ I would have done a big mistake if i ordered that one through ebay... Thanks again guys... Yes..u r right... I will go if it is
1. power seller and with
2. Mfg Warranty..

I see that you are in Hyderabad, Contact Khather electronics (9246808700) before you move further. They have the best prices in Hyderabad for samsung with samung warrenty. State them the least ebay price and they will match and deliver at your home.

Thanks for the contact info...I called the number and just asked about the same model and they told it will be around 24K..but good pick at that price as I didn't get this price at any showroom.. Let me go personally and talk to them to get what is the final price from their end...by the way did u buy anything from there earlier?

My friends have purchased 5 TVs last year and close to 10 this year as group buy.. No issues.. Samsung personal come for installation and demo.. Other stuff like refregerator and microwave ovens also.

I have personally purchased nothing as I did not know him before last year and his panasonic/sony prices are not great when I purchased the VT20.

After understanding dealer warranty concept now i am away from ebay buying ( infact online, dont want to buy from letsbuy aswell... This is only for TVs and i don't think for small items this site has any issues (provided the seller is power seller...)

When I decided to take a TV then I almost 100% decided to take online but now it is reverse.. I am ok to spend 1-2K more but dont want to go online..

Thanks Blasto for providing some good local vendors...

I checked PCH, TMC, AADISHWAR, EZONE and so on... The best price for 32D450 was 26K.. but when I went to this shop he offered me 24.2k...VERY good one... But as Bajaj is offering me 24.5K... I am going with Bajaj this time..
