Hi,
I would like to offer some suggestions as far as I know about this sort of issue. I had faced a similar issue with my Logitech Z5500

I believe we should go in a Trial& error method..

If the Center speaker is of the same impedance then can you try connecting the center to either the Front Left or right channels?? If this works there is no problem with the speaker then you can move on to the next step (Do not forget to check the center channel volume which had an independent button in my Z5500 remote. because in the haste to set it up I DID :p:rolleyes:)

Now try and change the mode to either to 6 channel/ Dolby movies/

and ofcourse you should use the test tone to check the speakers output.... .. This should narrow the problem down.. also do check the connections to the PC(I presume) the color codes . Check again for re assurance if you have already done so.. If you have connected the speakers to an onbaord sound card do let us know and can you PM me your number..

I am kinda tied up with work so can help you out on phone by sharing my experiences

First swap your center speaker with any of the working one and check whether it is working. If it is working then proceed to check the speaker settings in Windows. Right click the Windows volume icon at bottom right of taskbar > Playback devices. Right click Speakers > Configure Speakers > Choose 5.1 surround and test the speaker setting. If you can't hear sound from speakers in correct position then check the pin connection. Also set the speaker settings in your player to 5.1. Which player are you using? Also note that the movie file you are trying to play should also have 5.1 audio.

I think the answer will be much simpler than doing all this. Most probably, in the DSP modes (of Realtek of your computer), the 'Karaoke' option is ON. Switch it OFF and you are ready to go. I had exactly same issue with my system few years back. Even the person installing computer was confused. Finally, I found it luckily. So go into the menu of your software and uncheck Karaoke.

Thanks all for prompt reply!!

Checked connection colors codes attached all once again disabled Karaoke but issue still not resolved .

Then let me ask a stupid question. I hope you have tried multiple CDs with good voice content. It is very odd that amplifier in edifier is not amplifuying human voice but everything else. Amplifier cannot distinguish between human voice and other sounds. Have you tried playing anything in 2.1 mode? What is the result. Is the issue only for 5.1 or for 2.1 also?

Do not trust the color codes of the speaker or pins to the pc. Current onboard audio has jacks for 7.1. You may be wrongly connecting the pins. Did you try the Windows sound test that I suggested above and was the sound in the correct order? When you click the FL speaker icon, sound should be coming through the front left speaker and so on. Check and report.

It is hard for onboard sound card to go faulty and that too only the center channel. Did you check the cable connecting to center channel? May be that is faulty. Usually the center and subwoofer signals are carried on the same cable audio cable like left pin for center and right pin for subwoofer. Try to inter change the pins at the amplifier side. Also, before buying a sound card, please post images of the sound card side and the amplifier inputs so that we can know what is wrong with your connection.

go to Control pane>sound>Default Sound Device(Realtec sound )> Right Click> Properties.. You will see general>Tone Levels>Advanced> go to levels>Select balance> Check and alter the center Volume leveler

Re: Edifier Da5000 PRO No vocal sound only music

Center volume lever is already on 100 !

I have attached images of connection plz go through!!!

but i tried 2.1 but still no clarity in sound Some songs can be heard clear vocal & for some its unable to listen

Already paired sounds with my 5.1 DVD player it was clear & can hear everything clear but no sound from center speaker i guess i need to play a 5.1 movie for output from center speaker.

now i removed the sound connection from sound card & connected it to headphone jack on front of my pc now i can here a clean & clear vocals & dialogues.

Its clear my sound card has some problem in delivering Sound. so can you plz suggest me a 5.1 sound card with its price & will a sound card improve SQ
is it worth spending money on sound card plz suggest
AND THANKS A LOT FOR YOU REPLY:yahoo::yahoo:
