Hello,

I want entry level cheapest Blu ray player. Please suggest which once should i buy? I heard that Philips have cheap blu ray player in 4.5K. Hows it is ?

I bought Sony 1100 for 6.5K couple of months. I am very satisfied with it and also have to use it as a media player via usb.

Hi,

I bough Philips Blue ray BDP3200, i guess 1 year back, it works like charm(Usually play DVD's).
Philips Blueray you should get for 6-8K
http://www.philips.co.in
In stores price should be less than whats displayed on philips website
Check Chroma or similar stores.

If you wana go cheaper
I am not sure but check for Videocon/Onida blueray players

If you still wana go cheaper
Buy used, check this forum("For Sale by owner")

My past experience with Sony and Philips (DVD Players only) has not been good sometime they are not able to read disks, hang for ever, take loooooong time to read DVD, and these players tend to die after 1 year, but so far my Philips Blueray has been good.

The cheapest BR player may not output HD Audio.. So don't buy one and then later realize that one of the best parts of a BR (it's Lossless Audio) can't be heard the way it was supposed to. Then again, it depends on the Audio Equipment you have.

LG BD 550 available for 5k (MRP is 9K). Please read reviews before buying it as it has mixed reviews.
