epson projector from us

hi,

Planning to get only Epson projector from usa,model no: Home Cinema 3700 -TW 6700 or Home Cinema 5040UB- TW 8300 (8kg) ,as one of my friend is coming in the month of july-17.

Need
1. clarification regarding its cost i.e diff in indian and US pricing and also
what is the current price in india and us,how much do we save.
2. Do I need to pay customs duty,what is the norms for carrying goods,Is it 23kg and above 50k on total bill amt.
3. Does the above projectors have dual voltage i.e 230-110v.
4.Buying in india makes sense..

tw 6700 is around 1.1lakhs in India.EPSON 5040ub/8300 2LAKHS in Bangalore .So India is better ,Buy it before June 30.GST may add cost on July1.
try optompa uhd60/65 4K from usa for 2000 &2500$.

If at all you decide to get it from US ask your friend to wrap the box packing with brown sheet and apply masking tape. This will not attract the customs authorities at first instant. Especially with make and model no.

In fact that is how I brought it. The authorities have asked me what is inside and I said projector then they said I am free to go.

I am in favour of epson brand only,what will be the cost for 5040ub In us (indian currency).
If not much diff.between tw6700..then will go for it..

Are you sure epson US projector can be run on our 230volt..without any stepdown transformer???..

Yes. My Optima was bought in the US and runs on 220V

As percentage either 33.6% or 42% as there is ambiguity is still there. In values if you ask it's purely on your luck on that day.

It's a lengthy subject. This has been discussed here many time. You search for it here you will get it.

Mostly projectors are from 90 - 270Volts operating. By now you could have seen the spec in Epson US website.
