Looks like a damn good piece of gear. Has anyone looked at this offering from Eversolo?

that Display in the volume knob is cool. Overall it looks distinctive. Kind of a departure from their minimalistic design though! And the price is around 4 lakhs! The matching power amp also looks coolLooks like a damn good piece of gear. Has anyone looked at this offering from Eversolo?

100% agreed.I feel it is better to keep the dac and streamer separate
recently I swapped the company's power supply board in the A6 master editon for a friend with one he had imported (dont remember which one). It was a worthwhile upgrade and he is now using it as a transport-cum-dac.After looking at the A10 I was informed that the A8 is no slouch and at half the price.
I was thinking of starting another discussion on it but will continue on here for now.
Bonus (for some) is that the A8 comes with AKM DAC chips
.
Hi, I have an A8 too, do you use a separate DAC for this..I don't at this point and have a Hegel H390 amp..Initially I bought A6 later upgraded to A8. I'm happy with A8.looking at the price of A10 I can't venture another upgrade.
I'm happy with A8
Hi I am not using any separate dac .if you want to use separate dac then a6 is sufficient I believeHi, I have an A8 too, do you use a separate DAC for this..I don't at this point and have a Hegel H390 amp..
I have no idea as I haven't listened to luminAny compare (by forum member or on You Tube) ......with an equivalent product from Lumin ?
Would be interesting ....
Having heard both brands, IMHO the Eversolo A6 Master Edition and the A8 are both comparable in sq to the Lumin U2 mini. Eversolo scores on features and interface, while the U2 mini has a slight edge in sq. The Lumin U2 (not the mini) beats them all by a mile in sq. The Eversolos have a built in dac which are quite usable, but if one is chasing high quality audio, an external dac is needed.Any compare (by forum member or on You Tube) ......with an equivalent product from Lumin ?

Not equivalent products. However, I have owned both a Eversolo A6 Master Edition and Lumin U2 Mini. Used as a transport, the Eversolo was a disappointment - it carried over its strident personality even when used as a transport. It seemed to be at the presentation level of a Bluesound Node. The U2 Mini was a step up, but not a big one. It has an edge in things like soundstage depth and midrange resolution.Any compare (by forum member or on You Tube) ......with an equivalent product from Lumin ?

True. Google has the habit of dropping support for old devices like hot potato. Once that happens there is not much the Chinese can do. Users will be forced to deply hacks to install android images from leniage, sailfish, etc.The issue in these eversolo devices is the android operating system. If the OS becomes outdated and the company stops updating, eventually, the app support will also cease and rendering the device useless.
What they meant , As of now , hardware supporting upto a particular android software version would be fine, but once company or hardware gives up on software updates, no more upgrades/bug fix would be possible further. And if there bug found at that point, no more resolutions.Sorry, I am not familiar with the Upgrade aspects of Android....
ajuvignesh & mbhangui... Can you please explain ...
Wont the Eversolo devices continue to operate indefinitely, in their last installed / updated version of android, even if support for older android devices is stopped ?
Thanks
