Fans of Television Series

Binged on Angela a suspenseful and gripping spanish mini series that kept me engrossed from beginning to end. A welcome change with no forced DEI stuff. Very little use of standard tropes and cliches! Main cast has done exceptional work delivering authenticity and depth to their roles. Some stunning visuals and camera work that fits the mood.
Some loose ends and unanswered questions remain in the end though.

Binged on "The Hack" TV mini series. Complex narrative that interweaves a journalist uncovering evidence of phone hacking at a tabloid newspaper, with a former police detective looking into the unsolved murder of a private investigator.
The Hack started slow, but picked up pace and kept me hooked mainly due to the lead played by David Tennant. How news of the world was brought down by a guardian journalist forms the crux. Typical british ending though!

Watching Suspects was a breeze - it was an out and out police procedural! There is no brilliant deductive powers a la Sherlock Holmes here - it is commonsense, use of technology that uncovers the crime and culprit. Fortunately the first four seasons were clinical and had very little of the cops personal life or other banal sentiments. It almost had a documentaryish feel but still interesting! Season 5 changed it, but the episodes were gripping enough and probably the best of all.
The tagline for this series says, "An unscripted crime/drama series centered on a team of three detectives - each with their own distinctive style of working"
If you are someone who wants crime solving without the attached plot distractions like family interference or done-to-death tropes like the lead cop's spouse having tough time coping and separating, this series is for you!
